Finally I found enough time to get this story finalized…

Germany – Kuala Lumpur:
I arrived to KL around noon. While I was waiting outside train to arrive, I realized how warm it was again. I am not freezing anymore :). Continue reading
My process to import bike (BMW R1200GS) from Sydney (Australia) to Christchurch (New Zealand) by airfreight (December 2013):
- I contacted several airlines (Quantas, Emirates and Air New Zealand), all of them asked me to get in touch with freight forwarder (I got recommendation for two different companies: Matzen Cargo and DB Schenker.
I added GPS-track log of Europe, Central Asia and South-East Asia under “About the trip – Route” (see photo).
So, if you are interested which routes I have taken, now they are available :).
Australia will follow a bit later 🙂
Due to mechanical problems with the bike I have been forced to stop for one week in southern Australia.
Luckily I got help from a fellow bike rider, Andrew, who I met in middle of Asia around one year ago!
Problem in a bike was that my rear wheel was moving sideways quite much. It was not a bearing failure as I first thought, instead it was a worn out flange (part which holds rear wheel). I guess heavy load and tough, corrugated roads took it´s toll with my bike.
In any case, bike was not in rideable condition so we towed it to a shop here in Melbourne. Continue reading

I flew to Germany for my Easter holiday.
Naturally I could not stay put so I went to Ljubljana, Croatia and Venice during this holiday.
I have passed Ljubljana several times, so this time I spent one night over there. Would be interesting to visit this city in summer time.
I thought that Croatia would have been warm at this time of the year, but I was wrong… I saw some snow on the shore of Mediterranean sea! Continue reading

Malaysian border – George Town:
Immigration in Malaysian side was like a “walk in the park”, I did the whole immigration sitting on top of my bike!
Getting my carnet stamped took again a bit more time because I had to walk through another immigration and pass the x-ray place (do not know why it is hidden so well). After finding the correct place, getting a stamp was a piece of cake again. Officer was really polite and interested in the whereabouts of the lonely traveller. Continue reading
